Fully Cooked Hickory Smoked Whole Turkey

Cook Time: 1 - 1 1/2 hours

Directions

  • Thaw the turkey

    (Average thaw time: 10 hours on the counter and 1 day in the refrigerator will thaw a 12 lb turkey)

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees

  • Use a pan with a rack. Put a 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of the pan.

  • Remove the turkey from the bag and place it on the rack in the pan breast side up

  • Cover and cook 60-90 minutes

  • The turkey should reach an internal temperature of 140 degrees.
